Riverhead Public Library

Riverhead | New York

To meet the needs of their growing population the residents of Riverhead overwhelmingly passed a referendum for the expansion and renovation of their existing 19,000 sf library. The new addition adds approximately 13,000 sf allowing for growth in the children’s library, the reference department, quiet reading and staff work areas. The existing building was also completely renovated including new lighting, mechanical and electrical systems, finishes furniture and new technology. One of the focal points of the new design is the reading room, which was strategically located to take advantage of the views out over the Peconic River.
