The Allied - Harbor Point
Baltimore | MD
Allied | Harbor Point is a transformative mixed-use, multi-family development that anchors the eastern edge of Baltimore’s growing Harbor Point neighborhood. As the first phase of a two-part project, Allied delivers 312 market-rate apartments—ranging from studios to three-bedrooms—above ground-floor retail and services, all organized around a podium structure that balances density with livability.
The design bridges the rich architectural heritage of the nearby Fells Point neighborhood with the contemporary character of Harbor Point. Through carefully articulated massing, a refined materials palette, and a hierarchy of scales, the building mediates between the historic and the modern, enhancing the urban fabric of the evolving waterfront district.
The project features an 8-story podium wrapped on three sides by apartments, topped with a lush 1.1-acre green roof terrace. This amenity-rich outdoor space includes a pool, dog park, multiple social zones, and native landscaping—all contributing to stormwater management strategies required by the site's scale and impervious surface area. A 25-story residential tower rises from the podium’s southwest corner, anchoring the site adjacent to the Central Plaza green-space and offering sweeping views of the Inner Harbor and city skyline.
Podium-level duplex units utilize a staggered corridor system to maximize space and efficiency, while the 8th floor indoor amenities offer a full 360-degree panorama, enhancing the resident experience.
Designed to LEED Silver and Baltimore City IgCC standards, Allied represents an ambitious and thoughtful response to the challenges of large-scale urban infill—emphasizing community connectivity, sustainability, and architectural continuity across a diverse and rapidly growing waterfront district.
